Week 2, Thing #2

After watching Seven and 1/2 Habits of Highly Successful Lifelong Learners, I realize that although I love learning and being a student, there are certainly some areas that I could strengthen in order to be more effective in my quest for knowledge. I love creating goals for myself, so Habit 1--beginning with an end in mind--is probably the habit that is easiest for me. When I do not create goals, I do not complete anything. Checklists and goal lists work wonders for me. But, I do have trouble with Habit 3, viewing problems as challenges. I tend to get involved emotionally, which in turn causes me stress. The stress sometimes causes me to not see the problem as a challenge, but instead as a burden. I need to see problems as potentially positive experiences so that learning will be a fun process, even when situations are tense. I look forward to learning about Web 2.0 and all the challenges it may bring!

I hope that this will be a positive experience for you. It was often very frustrating for me because I didn't know how to do what I wanted to do. Just remember, I'm here to help you. I may not know how to do something, but I'm willing to try to help you figure out how to do it or find someone who knows how.
